王公國小於民國89年（2000年）8月1日創校，是林園區最新設立的學校之一，其校地經歷自民國67年（1978年）起分階段的市地徵收過程。截至2022年，學校約有687名學生、29個班級、54位教師，服務範圍涵蓋廣應里等地區。
