🏔️

Per the community's own oral tradition, Bunun families relocated to this area from Nantou and Taitung roughly 180 years ago, with the Hla'alua (拉阿魯哇) people regarded by the community as even earlier inhabitants of the region. These accounts are presented as the community's own framing, not as independently verified history. See the Kaohsiung county page for more on the region.
