Shoushan Elementary School

Shoushan Elementary School's precise founding year has not been confirmed, though roughly 60 years of history suggest it was established sometime in the 1960s. In August 2018, the school converted into a public-run experimental education school, adopting an "ecological aesthetics" theme with a curriculum grounded in anthroposophy. With about 184 students across 13 classes, Shoushan sits beside Shoushan National Nature Park and the Shoushan Zoo, directly integrating the mountain's limestone-hill ecology into its pedagogical identity.
