Heritage built into the campus.
The school takes its name from — and sits on the site of — Shanding Village's old settlement, and its on-campus "Daliao cultural history trail" makes local heritage part of students' everyday surroundings rather than something taught only from a textbook. See the Kaohsiung county page for more on the region.
