A tiny school on the county line.
Mushan Elementary School is a small rural school on the Kaohsiung side of the Kaohsiung–Tainan border, with only about 22 students — many from disadvantaged families, raised by grandparents, or with working parents often away from home. Note: this school is unrelated to the much larger Muzha Elementary School in Taipei's Wenshan District, despite sharing the same Chinese name. The school runs a 'Twilight Angel' (夜光天使) after-school care program and gives its students unusually rich access to music, including a children's choir, a ukulele band, a recorder team, and a violin class.
