Founded mid-boom, now a home for Indigenous language and arts.
Mingzheng Elementary School began planning in 1975 and formally opened in 1976, with its first students borrowing facilities at nearby Renai Elementary before its own building was completed in 1977. The school was founded as Cianjhen's population kept expanding through the mid-1970s. Today it houses a dedicated Indigenous-language and arts resource center.

Its 1976 founding reflects the district's continued mid-1970s population growth, part of a broader wave of new schools built during the era.
A home for Indigenous language and arts.
Mingzheng's dedicated Indigenous-language and arts resource center gives it a distinct role among Cianjhen's schools, supporting students and families connected to Taiwan's Indigenous communities within a district shaped mostly by industrial-era migration. See the Kaohsiung county page for more on the region.
