Mingyi Elementary School opened on August 1, 2004, making it one of the newer elementary schools in Siaogang District. From the outset, it was designed with a modern, IT-enabled, and barrier-free campus layout, reflecting the design priorities of Taiwan's school-building standards in the early 2000s.
