Mingde Elementary School

Mingde Elementary School was founded in 1957, with the Navy donating the land and the city government funding construction — a partnership reflecting Zuoying's identity as a major naval district. In 1974, 2.4 hectares of the school's land were split off to establish a new junior high school nearby, which was briefly even named Mingde Junior High before a naming conflict led to its being renamed Lide Junior High the following year — leaving the two schools with a documented shared origin.

明德國小創立於民國46年（1957年），校地由海軍捐贈，建校經費則由市政府支應——這項合作模式正反映出左營作為主要海軍軍區的地方特色。民國63年（1974年），學校劃出2.4公頃校地，用以設立鄰近的一所新國中，該校甚至一度沿用「明德國中」之名，直到隔年因校名衝突而改名為「立德國中」，兩校自此留下明確的共同起源。
