Longxing Elementary School

Longxing Elementary was established in 1966, the sixth and last school founded in the Liouguei basin. It sits on a river terrace on the east bank of the Laonong River, below Lingxiang Mountain, serving three villages spanning a 25-kilometer catchment area sometimes called a 'forest school.' The school uses nearby Shibaluohan Mountain, a distinctive conglomerate-rock landscape, as a core curriculum theme.

龍興國小成立於民國55年（1966年），是六龜盆地內最後成立的第六所學校。學校座落於荖濃溪東岸的河階台地，靈祥山山腳下，服務範圍橫跨長達25公里集水區的三個村落，因此有「森林小學」之稱。學校並以鄰近的石壁寮山——一處特殊礫岩地景——作為核心課程主題。
