Jiaxing Elementary was founded on April 1, 1920, during the Japanese colonial era, making it one of the older elementary schools in Gangshan District. Over the decades it operated branch schools at Xiaogangshan (1955) and Gangde (1967), extending education further into the surrounding rural areas before those branches were absorbed or became independent.
