Heliao Elementary School serves the Liheliao neighborhood of Zihguan District, named for the historic oyster-farming shacks that gave this fishing village its identity. The village has since grown into the well-known Ke-a-liau Fish Port (蚵仔寮漁港), a popular tourist destination for fresh seafood. The school is led by current principal Fang Pei-ling and is a wholly separate institution from a similarly named elementary school in Tainan's Beimen District.
蚵寮國小服務梓官區禮蚵里，校名源自賦予這座漁村特色的養蚵寮舍。這座漁村如今已發展成知名的蚵仔寮漁港，是遊客品嚐新鮮海產的熱門去處。學校由現任校長方珮玲帶領，與台南市北門區同名的國小為完全獨立、互不相關的學校。
