Guanghua Junior High School

Guanghua Junior High School began preparations in 1976 and formally opened in 1977, with its first students borrowing classrooms at nearby Lequn Elementary School before the school moved to its own campus in 1978. It was founded to serve the rapidly growing population along Cianjhen's Heping Road corridor, which transformed from farmland into dense residential neighborhoods through the late 1960s and 1970s. Its alumni include professional baseball players and film actors.

光華國中於民國65年（1976年）成立籌備處，民國66年（1977年）正式招生，首屆學生借用鄰近樂群國小的教室上課，於1978年遷入現址。學校的設立呼應了前鎮和平路一帶自1960年代末至1970年代由農地迅速轉變為密集住宅區的都市化浪潮。校友中包括職業棒球選手與電影演員。
