From a borrowed classroom to a national vocational school.
National Keelung Commercial & Industrial Vocational High School traces its roots to 1949, when it opened as a junior commercial vocational school borrowing classroom space from neighboring Xinyi Elementary School. In 1968, the school relocated to its permanent campus in Qidu District and added industrial programs in electrical and electronics engineering alongside its original business curriculum. It was elevated to national status in 2000, and today it runs both comprehensive-high and vocational tracks spanning business management, design, and electrical/electronic engineering.
國立基隆高級商工職業學校創校於民國38年（1949年），最初為初級商業職業學校，借用信義國小教室上課。民國57年（1968年）遷至七堵區現址，並增設電機電子等工業類科，與原有的商業類科並行發展。民國89年（2000年）改制升格為國立學校。現今同時設有綜合高中與職業類科，涵蓋商業經營、設計與電機電子工程等領域。
