Kaohsiung Municipal Kaohsiung Commercial Vocational Senior High School was established on April 1, 1937, during the Japanese colonial era as Takao Prefectural Kaohsiung Commercial School (高雄州立高雄商業學校) — Taiwan's third commercial vocational school, after those in Taipei and Taichung. It was renamed Taiwan Provincial Kaohsiung Commercial Vocational School after 1945, became Taiwan Provincial Kaohsiung Senior Commercial Vocational School in 1970, and took its current name in 1979. Widely known by its common nickname "Kaoshang" (高商, also "雄商"), the school today offers programs in business management, international trade, accounting, data processing, and advertising design, enrolling roughly 1,676 to 1,751 students across 54 classes.
高雄市立高雄高級商業職業學校創立於1937年(昭和12年)4月1日,日治時期名為「高雄州立高雄商業學校」,是繼台北、台中之後全台第三所商業職業學校。1945年後改制為「臺灣省立高雄商業職業學校」,民國59年(1970年)改稱「臺灣省立高雄高級商業職業學校」,民國68年(1979年)定名至今。學校俗稱「高商」或「雄商」,現設有商業經營科、國際貿易科、會計事務科、資料處理科、廣告設計科,全校約1,676至1,751名學生,共54班。
