Over a century of schooling, rooted in a clan hall.

Jinsha Elementary School was established in 1913 at the Zhang clan ancestral hall in Shamei, making it one of Kinmen's oldest schools. It suspended operations from 1937 to 1946 due to the Sino-Japanese War, reopening afterward under the name "Kinmen County Jinsha Central Public School." A private school, Wenpu Elementary, was absorbed into it in 1949. The school took its current name in 1968, and a new campus — funded in part by local donations — was completed and occupied in August 1970.
