Taipei Municipal Jinhua Junior High School

Jinhua Junior High traces its lineage to the Taipei Municipal Household Economics Girls' School, founded on March 15, 1937, during the Japanese colonial era. The school moved to its present Xinsheng South Road site on March 18, 1944, and became a full girls' middle school in 1952 before evolving into today's coeducational, junior-high-only Jinhua. It has long been one of Taipei's perennial “star” (明星) junior highs, with roughly 12–20% of each graduating class admitted to the city's top six senior highs — Jianguo, Beiyinu, Shida Fuzhong, Chenggong, Zhongshan Girls', and Zhengda Fuzhong. Paired with neighboring Jinhua Elementary, its dual school district is one of the most sought-after — and expensive — school-zone property markets in the city.

金華國中校史可追溯至1937年（日治時期）3月15日創立的「臺北市立家事女學校」，1944年3月18日遷至現今新生南路校址，1952年改制為完全女子中學，此後逐步演變為今日男女合校的金華國中。學校長年為台北知名「明星國中」，每屆畢業生約有12%至20%考取建中、北一女、師大附中、成功高中、中山女高、政大附中等六所明星高中。與鄰近的金華國小組成「明星學區」，是全台北房價最高的學區之一。
