Jingshan Elementary School

Jingshan Elementary was founded in 1953 as the "Caoliao Branch" of Pinglin Elementary School, after local residents petitioned for a school of their own under the "one village, one school" policy. The Taiwan Silk Company donated the land that made this possible. The school's campus was damaged in the devastating 921 earthquake and was subsequently rebuilt, with a new campus completed in 2002 — one that today includes an ecology pond for hands-on environmental learning.

景山國小創立於民國42年（1953年），最初以「草寮分校」名義成立，前身為坪林國小分校，起因於地方居民依「一村一校」政策請願設校，並由台灣蠶絲株式會社捐地促成。學校校舍在921大地震中受損，隨後展開重建，於民國91年（2002年）完成新校舍，如今校園更設有生態池，供學生進行自然環境學習。
