Jinding Elementary was founded in 1913 as "Private Jinpan School," making it one of the older schools in Kinmen County. It was the fourth school in Kinmen to reach its 100th and, later, 110th founding anniversary — a milestone the school's own motto celebrates. Today it serves the community of Xiabao in Jinning Township, blending this long institutional history with a modern curriculum that folds in national defense education, energy education, and digital learning resources.
金鼎國小創立於民國2年（1913年），初名「私立金盤小學」，是金門縣歷史較悠久的學校之一，也是金門縣內第四所歡慶建校百年、百一十年的學校，校訓中即彰顯這段悠久校史。學校現今服務金寧鄉下堡地區，並將國防教育、能源教育與數位學習資源融入現代課程之中。
