Jiji Junior High School

Jiji Junior High School sits in Jiji Township, whose epicenter was struck directly by the devastating 921 earthquake of 1999. The school maintains a dedicated "921 Campus Reconstruction" web section documenting the damage and the rebuilding that followed, a record of resilience woven into its institutional memory. Students have gone on to win awards in the National Student Art Competition, and the school is located near the historic Jiji Rail Line and the township's banana-growing areas — two of the region's best-known landmarks.
