Jiji Elementary School

Jiji Elementary School traces its roots to 1898, during the Japanese colonial era, making it one of the oldest schools in the township and the school that shares the town's own name. The school celebrated its 120th anniversary in 2018. It sits at the heart of Jiji's historic rail-line district and maintains a dedicated "921 Hope Project" section documenting the community's recovery from the devastating 1999 earthquake, whose epicenter struck this very town. The school also offers local ecological and cultural-tourism education, drawing on its position in one of central Taiwan's most visited small towns.

集集國小創校於1898年（明治31年）日治時期，是全鎮歷史最悠久的學校之一，也與集集鎮同名。學校於2018年慶祝建校120週年。校址位於集集鎮歷史悠久的鐵道文化區核心地帶，並設有專屬的「921希望工程」專區，記錄社區從1999年那場震央就在本鎮的大地震中重建的歷程。學校也提供在地生態與文化觀光教育課程，善用集集身為中台灣熱門小鎮的地理優勢。
