Two eras layered on one historic site.
Jieshou Elementary was founded in 1909 as “角板山甲種蕃童教育所” (Jiaobanshan First-Class Aboriginal Children's Education Station) — one of the oldest schools in this batch. It merged with a nearby Japanese-language institute in 1946 to become “角板國民學校,” was renamed 介壽國民學校 in 1954 when Jiaoban Township was renamed Fuxing Township (in honor of Chiang Kai-shek, whose historic Cihu/Jiaobanshan retreat is nearby), and took its current elementary designation in 1957. Its historic site is registered in Taiwan's National Cultural Memory Bank (國家文化記憶庫) as “角板山蕃童教育所,” reflecting its significance as an early Indigenous-education site. Note: this Jieshou Elementary is a separate, still-independent school — distinct from the former Jieshou Junior High, which was merged into Luofu Senior High in 2022.

🏔️ Named for a Site Tied to Chiang Kai-shek
Located in Zeren Village near Jiaobanshan (角板山), the historic mountain retreat associated with Chiang Kai-shek, the school's name traces a very different chapter of the same site's history from its origin as a colonial-era Aboriginal education station.

Campus design is built around Atayal cultural themes, with an explicit institutional focus on multicultural integration given the area's mixed Indigenous/Han population.
Two chapters of the same mountain site.
Located in Zeren Village near Jiaobanshan (角板山), the historic mountain retreat associated with Chiang Kai-shek, the school's very name — “介壽,” meaning “in honor of longevity,” a common Chiang-era place name — and its origin as a colonial-era Aboriginal education station trace two very different chapters of the same site's history. See the Taoyuan county page for more on the region.
