Jieda Elementary School

Jieda Elementary is a small school of about 14 staff and 83 total members across six classes, set at the foot of sacred Dawu Mountain in mountainous Jinfeng Township. The school describes its students as descendants of the Paiwan and Rukai peoples, and its mission places particular weight on respecting and sustainably managing the natural environment that surrounds the campus — an ethic drawn directly from the Indigenous communities it serves.
