Jibei Junior High School

Jibei Junior High traces back to 1968, when it began as a branch of Baisha Junior High School serving children on the remote offshore island of Jibei (吉貝嶼). It became an independent school in August 1976. Enrollment peaked that same year at 226 students across six classes, but like many of Penghu's outlying-island schools it has shrunk sharply since — down to just 59 students in three classes by 2003. Over its history the school has had eight principals, a reflection of its small, remote character.

吉貝國中的歷史可追溯至民國57年（1968年），最初是白沙國中的分校，服務吉貝嶼上的學童，於民國65年（1976年）8月獨立設校。同年在學人數達到高峰，共226人、6個班級，但如同澎湖許多離島學校，之後人數大幅下滑，至民國92年（2003年）僅剩59名學生、3個班級。建校以來歷經8任校長，反映出這所離島小校的特殊樣貌。
