Nearly a century of local history, carefully preserved.
Jianxing Elementary School was established on April 1, 1935, during the Japanese colonial era, as a branch educational site of Fangliao Public School at Shuidiliao, moving to its current site later that same year. Over the following decades it changed names several times — becoming independent Shuidiliao Public School in 1938, Shuidiliao National School in 1941, and then, after Taiwan's 1945 retrocession, Kaohsiung County Fangliao Township Shuidiliao National School. It was renamed Jianxing National School in 1950, and took its present name, Jianxing Elementary School, in 1968 under the nine-year compulsory education reform. The school maintains a dedicated online school-history museum documenting these milestones in detail.
