Jiangjun Junior High was founded in 1968 and remains the sole public junior high serving all of Jiangjun District, drawing students from villages scattered across the district's salt-pan, fishing-harbor, and farming hamlets. The school maintains active special-education programming alongside its standard academic tracks. A recent student, Zhang Liqing, was named a 2026 Presidential Education Award (總統教育獎) recipient for overcoming a difficult home environment while balancing academics, sports, and school activities.
將軍國中創校於民國57年（1968年），是將軍區唯一的公立國中，學生來自區內鹽田、漁港與農村等分散聚落。學校在一般學科課程之外，也持續推動特殊教育相關方案。近期一名學生張立青（音譯）榮獲「2026年總統教育獎」，表彰其在艱困的家庭環境中仍兼顧學業、體育與校內活動的努力。

As the only junior high in this small coastal district, Jiangjun Junior High draws students from villages tied to Jiangjun's fishing-harbor and salt-pan hamlets, including those connected to the district's founding legend: local lore holds that Qing dynasty admiral Shi Lang, after defeating the Ming-loyalist Zheng regime in 1683, was granted land here and built his general's estate, giving the district its name, "將軍" (Jiangjun, "General").
