Jialan Elementary School

Jialan Elementary serves Jialan Village, the administrative center of Jinfeng Township, set along the Taimali River in the mountains of southern Taitung. In August 2009, the community endured one of the most difficult chapters in its history when Typhoon Morakot brought catastrophic flooding to the Taimali River, leaving 66 households and 342 residents without homes. In the years since, Jialan's Paiwan residents have rebuilt with permanent housing, including a weaving and craft workshop established as part of the community's recovery — a reminder of the resilience carried by the families the school serves today.

嘉蘭國小服務嘉蘭村，也就是金峰鄉的行政中心，座落於台東南方山區的太麻里溪畔。民國98年（2009年）8月，莫拉克颱風為太麻里溪帶來嚴重水患，造成66戶、342位居民無家可歸，是這個社區歷史上最艱難的一章。歷經多年重建，嘉蘭村的排灣族居民已重建永久屋，並在災後成立編織工坊等設施，見證了這個學校所服務家庭的堅韌與韌性。
