Jiadong Junior High School

Jiadong Junior High began in 1967 as a branch of Chaozhou Junior High School, before being formally named Jiadong Junior High in 1968. Located in Yuguang Village, its school district spans a wide catchment of 12 villages across Jiadong Township, making it the central secondary school for this rural Hakka community. Today the school runs 7 classes with 154 students. It has recently completed a new school building, celebrated with a ribbon-cutting event featuring a "藤球" (rattan-ball, related to sepak takraw) demonstration, and has seen more than eight principals lead the school across its history.

佳冬國中創校於1967年（民國56年），最初為潮州國中分校，1968年（民國57年）正式定名為佳冬國中。學校位於玉光村，學區範圍廣達佳冬鄉12個村里，是這座客家農業鄉鎮的中學教育核心。目前全校共有7個班級、154名學生。學校近期完成新校舍興建，並以「藤球」表演作為剪綵活動的亮點，歷任已有8位以上校長帶領校務發展。
