Jiading Junior High School

Jiading Junior High School was established in 1967 as a branch of Kaohsiung County Huanei Junior High School, with its first classes held at Jiading Elementary School before it became its own independent campus. Today it serves 384 students across 19 classes with 54 teachers. Cieding is a lagoon-side fishing town, and its coastal, maritime heritage runs through all of its schools, including this one. Note: 茄萣 is read 'Jiā-dìng' here — a special pronunciation of 茄, not the more common reading 'qié' used in the everyday word for eggplant.

茄萣國中創立於1967年（民國56年），最初為高雄縣立湖內初級中學茄萣分部，首屆課程借用茄萣國小校舍上課，其後獨立設校。目前全校384名學生、19個班級、54位教師。茄萣是潟湖畔的漁村小鎮，濱海的漁業文化貫穿區內每一所學校，本校亦然。
