Hushan Elementary School

Hushan Elementary School began as a branch class of Tongle Elementary in August 1973, becoming a branch school later that decade and finally an independent school in August 1978. In the 2016 school year, it was reorganized as a publicly-run experimental education school, branding itself "an experimental school dedicated to ecology and bilingual education." Situated near the scenic Wanglongbei reservoir, the school focuses its curriculum on ecology, international education, and reading, and it recently welcomed its 100th student — a milestone for a small rural school built around a distinctive mission.

湖山國小的前身是同樂國小的分班，於民國62年（1973年）8月成立，其後升格為分校，最終於民國67年（1978年）8月獨立設校。105學年度（2016年），學校轉型為公辦公營實驗教育學校，並以「生態與雙語教育實驗小學」自我定位。學校鄰近風景秀麗的望龍埤，課程聚焦生態、國際教育與閱讀，近期迎來第100位學生——對於一所以獨特使命為核心的小型鄉村學校而言，這是一項重要的里程碑。
