Hukou Elementary School

Hukou Elementary School was founded in 1907 during the Japanese colonial era as "Dahukou Public School" (大湖口公學校). With more than a century of continuous history, the school has been recognized by Taiwan's Ministry of Education under its "century-old schools" (百年老校) program, honoring institutions with long, unbroken records of service. The school maintains strong traditional sports programs — including archery, baseball, badminton, and martial arts — that regularly compete at the county level.

湖口國小創立於明治40年（1907年）日治時期，前身為「大湖口公學校」。擁有超過百年的悠久校史，本校獲教育部「百年老校」計畫肯定，表彰其長期不間斷的辦學歷史。學校持續推動傳統體育項目——包括射箭、棒球、羽球及武術——並經常在縣級比賽中取得佳績。
