Hueilong Combined Junior High and Elementary School grew out of a preparatory office set up in 1994, with the elementary school formally established in 1998 and a junior high division added in 2002. It was upgraded to municipal status in 2014, when a kindergarten was also added. As one of the newer public schools built during Taiwan's 1990s school-expansion period, it now enrolls roughly 234 elementary and 133 junior-high students. The school sits in the Hueilong (迴龍) area, directly abutting New Taipei City's Xinzhuang and Shulin districts.
