Huaren Junior High School

Huaren Junior High was approved for budget in 1993 and opened around 1994, initially planned under the working name "仁里國中." The school was established because Ji'an Township's geography had left a gap in junior-high coverage: the west side already had Ji'an Junior High, and the central area had Yichang Junior High, but the east side — including Dongchang Village, where Huaren now sits — had no junior high of its own. As Ji'an grew rapidly as a suburb of Hualien City, the new school gave east-side students a much shorter commute to secondary education.

化仁國中於1993年獲准編列預算，約於1994年正式開學，早期曾以「仁里國中」為暫定校名規劃。學校的設立源自吉安鄉地理分佈上的缺口：西側已有吉安國中，中央地帶則有宜昌國中，唯獨東側（包含化仁國中現址所在的東昌村）長期缺乏國中。隨著吉安鄉作為花蓮市郊快速成長的衛星鄉鎮，這所新設學校大幅縮短了東側學子就讀國中的通勤距離。
