National Hualien Industrial Vocational Senior High School

National Hualien Industrial Vocational Senior High School was founded in 1940 under Japanese rule as Hualien Harbor Prefectural Industrial School, with departments in mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering. It became a national school in 2000 and is counted among Taiwan's historic "Eight Great Provincial Industrial Schools" — a group of foundational technical schools that trained much of the island's postwar industrial workforce. The campus retains a designated historic architectural group from the American-aid era, recognized in 2016, and the school continues under the motto "Integrity, Simplicity, Diligence, Perseverance."

花蓮高工創立於1940年日治時期，初名「花蓮港廳立工業學校」，設有機械、電機、化工等科別。民國89年（2000年）改隸國立，並名列台灣歷史悠久的「省立八大工校」之一——這批基礎工業學校培育了戰後台灣大部分的產業技術人力。校園內保存美援時期的歷史建築群，於2016年獲得指定，學校至今仍秉持「誠、樸、勤、毅」校訓辦學。
