National Hualien Commercial Vocational Senior High School began in 1953 as the Hualien County Intermediate Commercial Vocational Continuing School and went through several transformations over the decades — becoming a junior vocational school in 1955, adding a senior division in 1958, converting to a provincial senior commercial school in 1968, and finally becoming a national school in 2000. Today it offers seven departments spanning commercial management, accounting and AI data processing, applied English, multimedia design, international trade, and applied Japanese. The school won a national gold award for innovative teaching in 2024 and placed first nationally in an AI innovation competition in 2025.
花蓮高商創立於1953年，初名「花蓮縣立初級商業職業進修學校」，數十年間歷經多次改制：1955年改為初級商業職業學校，1958年增設高級部，1968年改制為省立高級商業職業學校，民國89年（2000年）改隸國立。目前設有七個科別，涵蓋商業經營、會計資訊（含AI資料處理）、應用英語、多媒體設計、國際貿易與應用日語。學校於2024年榮獲教學創新全國金質獎，並於2025年在AI創新競賽中勇奪全國第一名。
