Named for an Air Force hero, reborn bilingual.
Preparations for Huaisheng Junior High began in autumn 1969, and the new campus was completed and formally opened in September 1970. The school is named in honor of ROC Air Force hero Chen Huai-sheng, a U-2 reconnaissance pilot. During its founding phase, classes were temporarily held at three borrowed elementary schools — Huaisheng, Renai, and Xing'an — before the new building was ready. Starting in the 2020 school year, following Department of Education approval in November 2019, Huaisheng was upgraded to a Taipei bilingual experimental-curriculum school.
