Chenggong Elementary was established in 1958 in Houlong Township's Dazhuang area, near the coast. After buildings were found to have "sea sand" structural defects, the school completed a major campus rebuild in July 2022 — a new three-story, 12-classroom building funded partly by the Ministry of Education and the Miaoli county government. The rebuild reflects ongoing investment in this fishing-and-farming township's next generation.
成功國小創立於民國47年（1958年），位於後龍鎮近海的大庄地區。因舊校舍發現「海砂屋」結構瑕疵，學校於民國111年（2022年）7月完成校舍重建——由教育部與苗栗縣政府部分出資，興建一棟三層樓、12間教室的新大樓。這項重建工程反映了政府對這個漁農並重城鎮下一代的持續投資。
