Houjia Junior High School

Houjia Junior High School was established in 1968 as part of Taiwan's nationwide rollout of nine-year compulsory education, taking its name from the "Houjia" land section where it was built. Preparatory work began on November 15, 1967 under Chen Fengjin, then-principal of Zhongxiao Junior High, who was loaned as founding-committee director. Campus groundbreaking took place on January 26, 1968, with construction completed by August 15 that same year. In 1991, the school acquired additional land, expanding its campus from roughly 14,000 ping to over 18,000 ping.

後甲國中創校於1968年（民國57年），是台灣九年國民義務教育全面推行下的產物，校名取自校地所在的「後甲」段地名。籌備工作始於1966年（民國56年）11月15日，由時任忠孝國中校長陳逢金借調擔任籌備處主任。1968年1月26日校地動土，同年8月15日校舍完工。1991年學校再徵收部分土地，校地面積由約14,000坪擴增至逾18,000坪。
