Houcuo Elementary was founded in 1956 and served the farming community of Houcuo Village in Dayuan District for 68 years. As one of several Dayuan elementary schools abolished in 2024 due to Taoyuan Aerotropolis land expropriation, the school stopped accepting new students in April 2024 and was formally closed at the end of July that year. We keep this page as a historical record of a school that anchored its village community for nearly seven decades before land expropriation for Taiwan's airport-expansion megaproject brought its story to a close.
