Hongwacuo Elementary School

Hongwacuo Elementary officially opened on August 1, 2004. Planning began in 2002 under then Tainan County Education Bureau director Yeh Tse-shan; the first construction phase, designed by architect Hsu Yen-chi and built by Honghua Construction, broke ground in 2003 and finished in July 2004, with a second phase completed in December 2006. The school was deliberately built as a "wall-less" (無圍牆) campus, landscaped with lawns, trees, and campus art installations so it reads more like a public park than a conventional school. It now enrolls roughly 819 students across 31 classes with about 67 teachers.

紅瓦厝國小於民國93年（2004年）8月1日正式啟用。籌設工作始於民國91年（2002年），由時任台南縣教育局長葉澤山主導；第一期工程由建築師許燕記設計、宏華營造施工，民國92年（2003年）動工，民國93年（2004年）7月完工，第二期工程則於民國95年（2006年）12月完成。學校刻意打造為「無圍牆」校園，以草坪、樹木及校園藝術裝置佈置，讓校園更像公園而非傳統學校。目前約有819名學生、31個班級及67位教師。
