A hundred years serving eleven villages.

Hepu Elementary traces its roots to 1915, when it opened as the private "Yingshan Elementary School" in Poubian village. It became the public "Poubian Public School" in 1950, then merged with Hedou Public School in 1959 and was renamed Hepu. The school has now celebrated over 100 years of history. Its 1965 campus was built with support from local villagers and overseas Kinmenese donors, aided by the local military garrison, and was renovated again starting in January 2000. The school district covers 11 natural villages and is described as the academic root of the Jinsha "six-jia" area.
