Hengchun Junior High School traces its charter to April 29, 1945, when it was registered as "Kaohsiung Prefecture Hengchun Girls' Agricultural Practice School" — though wartime conditions kept it from ever opening under that name. It was formally reorganized and opened as Hengchun Junior High School in November 1945, making it one of Pingtung County's earliest post-war junior high schools. Today the school serves students from Taiwan's southernmost major historic town, and its baseball team, established in 2013, is part of a growing athletics program; a gymnasium reconstruction broke ground in October 2025 and is expected to finish in 2027.
恆春國中的校史可追溯至民國34年（1945年）4月29日，當時登記為「高雄州立恆春家政女學校」，但因戰時局勢未能如期招生開學。同年11月正式改組並開學，成為恆春國中，也是屏東縣戰後最早成立的國中之一。學校服務台灣最南端歷史古鎮的學子，2013年成立的棒球隊是逐漸茁壯的體育活動一環；體育館重建工程已於2025年10月動土，預計2027年完工。
