Hengchun Elementary School was founded in 1896 as the "Hengchun Language Training Institute" (恆春國語傳習所), housed inside the old Hengchun walled city in the precinct of the City God Temple (城隍廟). It was reorganized as "Hengchun Public School" in 1900, and its original branch classroom at Tikasoan (豬朥束) later grew into today's Manzhou Elementary School. One of the oldest schools in Pingtung County, it celebrated its 122nd anniversary in 2023. A new "Old City Aesthetic" (古城美學) teaching and administration building, inaugurated in March 2023, replaced facilities that had been in use for more than 40 years, and the current 26,233-square-meter campus has been led by principal Cheng Hong-po since August 2017.
恆春國小創立於1896年，前身為「恆春國語傳習所」，設址於恆春古城內的城隍廟。1900年改制為「恆春公學校」，其設於豬朥束的分教場，後來發展成今日的滿州國小。作為屏東縣歷史最悠久的學校之一，2023年適逢建校122週年。新建的「古城美學」教學暨行政大樓於2023年3月9日啟用，取代了使用逾40年的舊校舍；現今校地達26,233平方公尺，現任校長鄭鴻博自2017年8月起接掌校務。
