Hemu Elementary School

Hemu Elementary School began in August 1957 as a class branch of Dingliu School, initially holding lessons in a local Baoan Temple. It became a full branch school in 1959, then gained full independence in August 1962 as Hemu Elementary School with six classes; its first principal was Lu Junqing. Notably, the school's first campus was built through community fundraising — local parents and residents purchased the land and constructed three bamboo-and-mud classrooms by hand. The school adopted its current name in September 1968. Today it offers digital learning through Google Classroom, special education resource classes, itinerant counseling programs, and international/bilingual education resources.

和睦國小創立於民國46年（1957年）8月，最初為頂六國校和睦分班，借用當地開天保安宮上課。民國48年（1959年）升格為頂六國校和睦分校，民國51年（1962年）8月獨立設校，定名嘉義縣中埔鄉和睦國民學校，設有六班，首任校長為盧俊卿。特別的是，學校首座校舍是由地方居民集資興建——家長與鄉親購地並親手搭建三間竹管屋教室。民國57年（1968年）9月改制為和睦國民小學。現今推動Google Classroom數位學習、特教資源班與巡迴輔導，並提供國際與雙語教育資源。
