Ching-Shuei Elementary opened in August 1954 as a branch of Shuangwun School, becoming independent in 1956 under its first principal, Wu Mao-lin. It is one of Hsinchu County's smallest schools — with only 5 classes and 23 students as of 2022 — and has drawn local media attention as a model for transforming a small rural campus into a community-integrated, slow-living "organic village."

清水國小創立於民國43年(1954年)8月,最初為雙文國小分校,民國45年(1956年)獨立設校,首任校長為吳茂林。學校是新竹縣規模最小的學校之一——截至民國111年(2022年)僅有5班、23名學生——並因將小型鄉村校園轉型為社區共融的「有機村」慢活示範案例,受到地方媒體關注。
