Huaxing Elementary School is located within or immediately adjacent to the Hsinchu Industrial Park (Hukou) area, reflecting the township's evolution from a farming and rail community into a manufacturing hub. The school marked its 40th anniversary in recent years, placing its founding in the early 1980s. In 2020, the Ministry of Education recognized Huaxing as an outstanding reading-promotion school, and the school also runs an art education program sponsored by Quanta Computer, a major Taiwanese technology company.
