Hanxi Elementary School

Hanxi Elementary serves the Atayal village of Hanxi in the mountains of Datong Township. The school is notable for the extensive Atayal cultural decoration found throughout its classrooms, turning the campus itself into a living showcase of Indigenous heritage for its students. In 2012, Hanxi Elementary received the Greateach National Creative Teaching Award, national recognition for a small mountain school. The campus sits near the Hanxi Suspension Bridge, a well-known scenic landmark that draws visitors to the area.

寒溪國小服務大同鄉山區的寒溪部落，是一所泰雅族聚落學校。學校最為人稱道的，是教室內外隨處可見的泰雅族文化布置，讓整個校園成為原住民文化的活教材，供學生日常學習與體驗。民國101年（2012年），寒溪國小榮獲全國創意教學獎（GreaTeach），對一所山區小校而言是難得的全國性肯定。校園鄰近寒溪吊橋，這座知名景觀地標也吸引不少遊客造訪此地。
