Haidian Elementary School

Haidian Elementary's preparatory office was established in 1988 under founding principal Guo Peng-fei, with the school formally established in August 1993 per Taiwan Provincial Government approval. It was built on land that was originally fish-pond terrain, converted for school use as North Anping Road and Jun'an Road development brought a wave of new residents into the area. The school describes its location as sitting within "Tai-Jiang Sixteen Hamlets" (台江十六寮), a historically significant cluster of settlements tied to Taiwan's Indigenous Siraya and early Han-Chinese fishing and farming culture around the vanished Tai-Jiang inland sea.

海佃國小籌備處於1988年（民國77年）成立，創校校長為郭鵬飛，1993年（民國82年）8月經臺灣省政府核定正式設校。校地原為漁塭地帶，隨北安路與郡安路一帶開發、新住民湧入而轉為校地使用。學校自我定位為座落於「台江十六寮」——與台灣原住民西拉雅族及早期漢人漁農文化密切相關的歷史聚落網絡，環繞已消逝的台江內海而形成。
