Fugui Elementary was founded on July 9, 1933, during the Japanese colonial era, as the "Guoxing Public School Fugui Branch." It became independent in 1934 as Guizitou National School, and took its present name in 1945. Today the school is recognized as a distinctive "特色小學" (feature school) for its strong environmental-education focus, which includes a campus plant tour and solar energy initiatives.
福龜國小創立於日治時期昭和8年(1933年)7月9日,初名「國姓公學校福龜分教場」,於1934年獨立設校,稱「龜子頭公學校」,1945年更為現名。學校現以強調環境教育著稱,獲選為「特色小學」,推動校園植物巡禮與太陽能等相關計畫。
