Changfu, which celebrated its 50th anniversary, transformed in 2021 into Taiwan's first public non-indigenous experimental elementary school, sitting on the Guoxing–Taichung Xinshe border. Facing the pressures of small enrollment, the school built a nationally recognized "tree climbing" adventure curriculum and a "dancing with trees" environmental framework. It was rated "excellent" in its year-112 (2023) experimental education review, won the Ministry of Education's Teaching Excellence Gold Quality Award in 2020, and was named among the "Future Education Taiwan 100" in 2019.
長福國小曾舉辦建校50週年校慶，並於2021年轉型為全台首創非原住民體制的公辦實驗小學，校址位於國姓與台中新社交界處。面對小校招生壓力，學校發展出全國知名的「爬樹」冒險教育課程與「與樹共舞」環境教育架構，於112學年度實驗教育評鑑獲評為「優等」，並曾榮獲教育部教學卓越金質獎（2020年）、入選「未來教育台灣100」（2019年）。
