Beishan Elementary was founded on April 1, 1921, as a branch of Guoxing Public School, becoming an independent school in 1927. The school celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2021–2022 with a blessing street procession through the community, and has been recognized as an outstanding school for its Hakka Language Living School Program. Beishan was also featured in the documentary "山中傳奇" (Mountain Legend), which captured the mountain community it serves.
北山國小創立於民國10年（1921年）4月1日，最初為國姓公學校分校，於民國16年（1927年）獨立設校。學校於2021至2022年間舉辦百年校慶祈福遶境活動，並以「客語生活學校」計畫獲選為特色學校。北山國小亦曾登上紀錄片《山中傳奇》，紀錄下這個山區社區的故事。
